Extension Educator, SNAP Outreach for Veterans Program Coordinator

Kai Gritter is an Extension Educator based in Saginaw County. She coordinates the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Outreach for Veterans program. This statewide program provides culturally relevant outreach materials to veterans that promote the SNAP benefit, as well as offers navigational assistance for the benefit application process.

She has a Masters of Science in Health Education and is trained as a Mental Health First Aid Instructor. Kai facilitates social and emotional health programs in the Saginaw, Bay, Midland, Genesee, and Shiawassee counties. These programs (offered face-to-face and virtually) address: healthy aging, anger management; stress-reduction; and pain management for individuals living with chronic conditions.
