The right ingredients, a dash of ambition combine to launch 24th Cheesecakerie

Sean Brezzell had a great product, he just needed to know how to run a business. After working with the Product Center he opened his first location in Ypsilanti with three more slated by 2021.

After receiving a plethora of positive feedback for the mini cheesecakes he served out of Vic and Barb’s Catering Company, Sean Brezzell chose to think bigger and launch a cheesecake company in Southeast Michigan. He came to the Product Center in 2018 with all cylinders firing and ready to take on the cheesecake market through a partnership with Vic and Barb, and their delectable cheesecake treats.

Brezell's gregarious personality made sales and networking easy for him, and within no time his business, 24th Cheesecakerie, was up and running.

Baking out of the Growing Hope Incubator Kitchen in Ypsilanti, Brezzell soon opened his own retail space in Ann Arbor’s Briarwood Mall Food Court. Patrons can stop by this location to try his cheesecakes by-the-slice, mini cheesecakes, whole cheesecakes or make a pre-order for your event or party. Are you vegan or dairy-free? That’s not a problem. He offers an array of vegan flavors as well, and people tell him they are just as delicious.

I worked with Brezzell as an innovation counselor at the Product Center and I can tell you that it's hard for me to decide whether Sean’s biggest asset is his delicious cheesecakes or his personality.   In working with Sean, I am confident that he has the product and the know how to expand his business and people should be on the lookout for more from the 24th Cheesecakerie in the coming years.

Brezzell's incredible ambition and the success he’s seen so far is positioning him to open three more retail locations by 2021 and expand his business to include wholesale distribution to restaurants and retail grocers.
