Preparing for the Big Buyer Meeting at Making It In Michigan

Learn valuable tips at the April 14 live Zoom session with Detroit’s Skidmore Studio

One of the most important things you can do to launch your new food product is to meet with buyers. For new entrepreneurs, meeting with buyers can be a nerve-racking experience – what do you say, how do you dress, what materials do you bring? It’s important for food makers to think like a buyer when approaching these buyers’ meetings, but what does that mean?

Prepping for the Big Buyer Meeting Program

Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experts from Skidmore Studio will discuss how to get the most out of your important buyer meeting. Skidmore Studio is a strategic marketing studio based in Detroit that helps organizations grow through expert brand strategy and design. The 30-minute presentation, followed by Q & A will cover topics such as how to understand the retail buyer, how to ensure your packaging and design appeals to their customer, and how to guarantee that your brand is memorable.

This pre-conference session will be held live on Zoom, Wednesday, April 14 at 10 a.m. and is hosted by Pure Michigan Business Connect and the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. Please register to reserve your spot. This program is one of multiple pre-sessions available for the upcoming Making It In Michigan Conference and Trade Show (MIIM).
