About our partnership

Michigan State University (MSU) and Wayne County Community College District (WCCCD) have partnered to offer regionally relevant agricultural training programs for careers in some of Michigan's highest demand industries. Students will benefit from dual enrollment at both institutions with all courses delivered at the WCCCD campus in Taylor, Mich. All courses will be taught by approved MSU faculty including local industry professionals.

This partnership allows students to earn a certificate from the MSU Institute of Agricultural Technology (IAT) while working toward an associate degree from Wayne County Community College District. Full-time students are able to complete the associate degree and certificate in just two years and financial aid is available to help with tuition expenses at both schools.

By working together, MSU and Wayne County Community College District are able to offer these specialized training programs for high-demand jobs close to home and at a lower overall cost. Graduates will be prepared for rewarding job opportunities in agriculture or transfer to continue their education.

About Wayne County Community College District – Downriver Campus

Located on approximately 100 acres of farmland and woods at 21000 Northline Road in Taylor, Michigan, the Downriver Campus was built in 1978, and includes a 7-acre woodland preserve with a winding path used for nature walks by students, faculty, staff and residents of the surrounding community. The building is barrier-free, with ample parking on either side of the campus. The design of the building affords a view of the surrounding woodlands from virtually every classroom and office. The Downriver Campus is conveniently located near Interstate 94 and Interstate 75, as well as several secondary connecting roads.
