Newly elected & experienced commissioners, administrative staff and other elected county officials

What will be covered:

  • Learn about County Commissioner roles and responsibilities and the structure of county government
  • Explore the basics of county finance
  • Learn best practices for leading and participating in public meetings
  • Network with other elected officials

Cost: $95 per person

New Online Format

The 2021 program will take place virtually with a mix of recorded sessions and self-paced learning modules. The course is designed with location-based cohorts and we encourage you to participate in your region to allow for the best connection with your neighboring commissioners.

Introductory Session - 45 minutes

Self-paced, Asynchronous Online Learning

Ask an Expert Session and Discussion - 60 minutes

NCS Webinar Session - Presentation/Networking - 90 minutes

Closing & Networking Session - 30 minutes plus an opportunity to connect with your cohort at other educational sessions
