Since 1906, the Department of Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering has responded to the changing needs of society by integrating and applying principles of engineering and biology in a systems context.
The department offers joint academic programs spanning the College of Engineering and the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources. The MSU biosystems engineering undergraduate program was ranked the #5 biological and agricultural engineering program in the nation by U.S. News and World Report.
